Grandma’s Kitchen

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born with the name of Theresa which soon became the nickname Tess. Which it remained until I became a Mom at the age of 16. After he started talking my name became Mom, I added 3 more children and Mom kinda stuck.

My son became a stepdad when he was 20 and added a babygirl at 21. Soon it was Grandma and the first time they said “Grandma I love you” I cried tears of happiness. Every few years each child had a baby, they did stick to a pattern Oldest a girl second a boy. Until my second daughter decided she wanted one more baby, she had twins! I warned the rest of them see what will happen if you try for a third, lol. all together I have 10 grandchildren, 8 girls and 3 boys.

All of my grandchildren have lived with me during sometime in their lives, don’t worry their parents were there too. The last three have been with me the longest. their Mom and I have lived together for over 10 years. Sometimes we get on each others nerves, but at the end of the day we still love each other and the kids of course. We’ve bought a house together in OK, and have made it our forever home. We are not allowed to ever move the kids put their foot down on that one. We’re not rich ” the kids think we are” just middle class.

My grandchildren are the best part of me. As I watch them grow I see their parents, sometimes it’s not the right parent to the right child, so I guess I’ve had some input. Now my children are becoming grandparents and have come to understand my feelings.

The reason I named this grandma’s kitchen is because we have always experienced special moments in the kitchen and where traditions are passed down. So no I won’t always be talking about food and recipes, but the people I truly love
